A celebration of one of Abbey Estate’s finest blocks; the Cabernet fruit for this wine was first planted in 1995, our team fell in love with the quality of the grapes ten years ago and so crafted the first Block 95. We’ve been making it ever since. Dark red with purple hues. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, bramble, and dried herbs. Palate of persistent black fruit with subtle leaf and herbal undertones. Serious character with notable length and structure.

Created in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 is a regional wine that reflects the unique climate and growing conditions of South Australia’s Coonawarra district and the relatively elegant style of cool-climate Shiraz. From the 1980 vintage, French oak replaced American, highlighting the pepper, spice and floral characteristics that define this style. Since this time, greater attention to fruit flavour ripeness has structurally resulted in a more complete and complex wine style.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals exceptional depth, beginning with vibrant aromas of plums, cassis, and delicate violet flowers. On the palate, bright flavours of plums and dark cherries unfold, complemented by rich layers of dark chocolate, bay leaves, star anise, and dried tobacco leaf, creating a beautifully complex and captivating profile.Well integrated tannins provide just the right amount of structure, guiding the wine to a smooth, focused finish that lingers on the palate. The ideal growing conditions in 2021 allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, resulting in a wine of perfect balance, depth, and complexity. Ready to enjoy now, this Cabernet Sauvignon also shows excellent aging potential, promising further refinement with time.

A Bordeaux-esque expression that marries that classic Bordelaise blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc) with Terra Rossa character. Pretty, aromatic, and fresh, the O’Deas red blend hails from a single vineyard: the O’Deas 3.13 – although the Wynns team refer to it affectionately as ‘The Hobbit’, due to the short stature of the vines and their wide ‘feet’ (roots). This is an inaugural release for Wynns. Every year, the Coonawarra legends select one parcel of wine to bottle as a single vineyard special. This year’s bottle is a true field blend. With lavender and menthol on the nose, alongside light anise and blackberry, it is fresh and aromatic. This has the pedigree and deliciousness to go the distance.
