With its attractive garnet hue, the Château de L’Abbaye wines are defined by an intense bouquet laden with blueberries and plums and delicate oaky nuances. Château de L’Abbaye is located in the district of Vertheuil in the Médoc, close to the prestigious appellation of Saint-Estèphe. Setting the standards since 1850, and “classed among the finest in the land” in the 12th edition of the 1969 Féret wine guide, today the Château owes its unique character to 100% Merlot plantings.

The second wine of "crowd favourite", Chateau Potensac, Chapelle de Potensac was created and first sold by Jean-Hubert Delon with the 2002 vintage. This elegant, traditionally made second wine possesses beautiful balance founded on smoothness and freshness. Its terroir of fine gravel and clay sands can be found in various parts of Potensac's historical terroir, on the edge of the village. The 2016 vintage consisting of Merlot 75 %, Cabernet Sauvignon 17 % and Cabernet Franc 8 %, has been widely acclaimed by critics for its fragrant, lifted, fresh fruit qualities and approachability.

A delicious Syrah developed from hand picked grapes of vines planted on terraces of granitic sand in Northern Cotes-du-Rhone. Flavours of black fruits and morello cherry are abundant and match fantastically with red meats, game birds or unpasteurized milk cheeses. A true delight.

Mouton Cadet Select, is the result of the selection from the best parcels of highest terroirs across the Bordeaux region. Created in 1930, by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet has become a standard-setter for Bordeaux wines in France and rapidly overseas. The nose initially reveals black cherry, very ripe red fruit notes, hints of mocha and spice. From a supple and voluptuous attack on attractive fruit, the mid-palate displays powerful flavours with forward red fruit, leading into a long and spicy finish.

For Saga R Bordeaux Rouge, there is a higher proportion of Merlot (70%) with remainder of the blend (30%) sourced from well-exposed slopes suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bordeaux tradition of blending these grapes is followed to make a more harmonious wine, and no oak is to preserve the purity of the fruit. A gorgeous bright, crimson purple in appearance, with aromas of dark berries (blackberries, blackcurrants) and Morello cherries. The palate is dense, harmonious and balanced with an aromatic, spicy finish of liquorice. Wonderfully fresh, with richness and excellent drinkability.

Deep, concentrated ruby-red colour. The complex nose displays notes of red fruit compote, liquorice and spices combined with oaky notes reminiscent of mint and mocha. Starts out full-bodied, fleshy, and generous on the palate with good concentration and fine,delicate tannins. The overall impression is well-balanced and fresh. Discreet red fruit and moorland aromas follow throughon the palate. Alovely long aftertaste underpinned by ripe fruit aromas. All in all, a very subtle, elegant wine.

TASTING NOTES / This wine has a beautiful deep garnet colour. It his powerful and shows a nice structure with an expressive blackcurrant and liquorice nose. On the palate, the wine if full bodied with strong tannins and woody notes of mocha. A wine to enjoy over the next eight to ten years. FOOD AND WINE MATCHES / duck fillet, leg of lamb, beef stew. The Château Les Ormes De Pez is an evocative Saint-Estèphe blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Age will be kind to this Bordeaux, allowing the palate to round and develop. A touch of sweetness on the nose meets with rich cassis, herbs, and liquorice. On the palate, you will taste candied violets and juicy blackberry, with grippy tannings and a refreshing line of acid.
