Sourced from growers from limestone rich soils of the Entre-Deux-Mers and Côtes de Bordeaux to the clay soils around Blaye and the gravel rich Côtes de Bourg. This red from France is a great introduction to Bordeaux without the expensive price tag. A deep purple colour with hint of spice and vegetal aromas. The palate is supple and round with notes of plum, leather and spice with a rich, persistent finish.

Mouton Cadet Select, is the result of the selection from the best parcels of highest terroirs across the Bordeaux region. Created in 1930, by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet has become a standard-setter for Bordeaux wines in France and rapidly overseas. The nose initially reveals black cherry, very ripe red fruit notes, hints of mocha and spice. From a supple and voluptuous attack on attractive fruit, the mid-palate displays powerful flavours with forward red fruit, leading into a long and spicy finish.

St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

Deep, concentrated ruby-red colour. The complex nose displays notes of red fruit compote, liquorice and spices combined with oaky notes reminiscent of mint and mocha. Starts out full-bodied, fleshy, and generous on the palate with good concentration and fine,delicate tannins. The overall impression is well-balanced and fresh. Discreet red fruit and moorland aromas follow throughon the palate. Alovely long aftertaste underpinned by ripe fruit aromas. All in all, a very subtle, elegant wine.

TASTING NOTES / This wine has a beautiful deep garnet colour. It his powerful and shows a nice structure with an expressive blackcurrant and liquorice nose. On the palate, the wine if full bodied with strong tannins and woody notes of mocha. A wine to enjoy over the next eight to ten years. FOOD AND WINE MATCHES / duck fillet, leg of lamb, beef stew. Dame de Boüard is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard. Another expression of the Clos de Bouard terroir. This wine has aromas of ripe fruit, roasted aromatic herbs and hints of sweet spices. Chateau Robin is a family property, 8.7 hectares wide that produces an exquisite red, purple wine, classified “Saint Emilion” AOC certified. Robin is situated downhill of the famous town of Saint Emilion, at the very heart of the most famous and reputed French vineyards, at Saint Christophe des Bardes, near Bordeaux.The nose on the Robin is open and aromatic and pure. The texture is wonderful, with refined tannins, and plenty of salinity and length.
