Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. It is well balanced with cocoa and savoury oak. The palate yet, is fine, elegant and focussed, finishing with chalky and structural tannins.

The citrus rind and grapefuit lead the palate to an overall fine yet textural journey. Cape Mentelle Chardonnay had this distinctive minerally line too, apparent with focussed refreshing acidity. Faint nuancesof soft nougat and cashews also add to what is a harmonious balance and an elegant and length finish.

This wine is of exceptional quality is made from selected Semillon grapes grown in the prime region of South Eastern Australia. To make it completely unique a special teqhnique was developed to infuse 23 Karat pure gold leaf into the wine. The nose has intense fruit salad and raisin characters while on the palate the fruit flavours are long & lingering, finishing with the intensity and balanced by fresh acidity. The pleasurable experience is best when served chilled. We wanted to produce the best rosé we could, and chose to make one in the style of a Chinon cabernet franc rosé of the Loire Valley in France, which are among the greatest rosé wines.Its delicious on its own, and versatile as it pairs well with everything from delicately prepared seafood to sweet roast duck.
