Nannup Estate Rolling Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

This WA winery continues to impress with its well-crafted value for money wines. This Cabernet blend has ripe berry fruit characters enhanced by toasty oak and balanced with fine-grained tannins.

Deep purple colour with lifted, rich and ripe fruit with balanced oak flavours. Medium bodied palate with fine deep tannins and a succulent deep fruited finish.

Deep red with ruby hues. The wine exhibits vibrant, characteristic aromas of ripe blackcurrants, blueberries, and dark plums meshed with hints of bay and liquorice and subtle spicy, toasty oak. The generous palate is packed full of juicy fruits of the forest, cassis and chocolate characters. Medium to full-bodied, the fleshy fruits are supported by moreish, supple and ripe tannins. A balanced wine, with a persistent fruit finish with beautiful regional savoury inflections of bay, black olive and liquorice.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced from several select vineyard sites located in the Wilyabrup sub region and north to Wildwood Rd in an endeavour to capture ripe fruit flavours, supple tannins and the distinctive perfume of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. A deep and inviting black cherry colour with floral notes of violets and fruity, doughy aromas of just baked blackberry muffins. The palate is soft, inviting, and full of free range forest fruits, vanilla, cocoa and loads of supple, fine tannin. Such a pleasure to drink now but with ample ripe tannin structure to allow for aging up to 5 years.

Since 1992, Madfish have been producing an exciting range of contemporary, cool climate wines inspired by the wild, coastal and pure characterises of Australia's South West. The wines are made by the dedicated team led by chief winemaker Janice McDonald. Black and blue berries, red currants, plum compote and roasted chestnuts mingle with coffee, cocoa and hallmark Cabernet minty earthiness to create a quite beautiful wine.

"Sourced from several premium sites in Margaret River, this was a once in a 25-year vintage," say the team at Xanadu. The wine was maturated for 14 months in 20 percent French oak barrels creating a generously vibrant, full-bodied wine with juicy blackcurrant, cassis and dark chocolate flavours, interwoven with hints of spicy oak. "We’re proud to have collaborated with Vintage Cellars on this wine, which is distinctly Xanadu, with some funky new clothes on!" The vintage was sourced from select parcels of fruit that was primarily Xanadu Estate grown on our Boodjidup vineyard. Quality Margaret River Cabernet at an affordable price! Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon has rich fruit with overtones of mulberries, chocolate and a hint of violets. It is well balanced with subtle oak, some cedary, herbal notes and fine tannins on the finish.
