Chris Ringland Shiraz has been one of Australia's most loved wines over the past few years with its immense concentration of bold, forboding fruit. Chris Ringland, the man behind such famous names as Three Rivers Shiraz, creates a wine that is made from mature Northern Barossa vines and shows dark mass of concentrated black and blue fruits, laced with sweet mocha and wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture. Not for the faint of heart, the CR Shiraz is improving vintage on vintage.

The palate is rich with dark fruits and dark chocolate supported by a long savoury line of gentle tannin. The wine finishes smooth and long in the classic style of great Barossa Shiraz. Nitschke Block Shiraz displays rich, opulent fruit with a fantastic balance of texture. Lifted notes of greengage plums are first to emerge from what is a tightly-wound wine. There is also a warming spice element of subtle white pepper as well as some dark cherry and plum flavours.

The bouquet is lifted with bright cherry fruit characters and a hint of chocolate with enticing spice notes.This is followed by dark berry fruits that combine with a lively palate entwined with pepper spices and chocolate tones. A long savoury finish is coated in soft tannins to complete this rich and generous palate.

Derek’s 90’s love-affair with dance parties and techno music has inspired this range of red wines. The passion morphed with his school nickname Deadly Derek to became DJ Deadly. He used to make CD for friends with his best DJ mixes and signed them Mixed by DJ Deadly. Deep red with purple hues. The nose has wonderful lift of raspberry fruits, floral notes, choc mintand a herbal, menthol note. The medium to full bodied palate has juicy red fruits, blackcurrant, earthy, savoury notes and black olives. The oak has introduced a cedary, roasted meat character. Soft silky tannins define the mid palate and complement the vibrant and juicy fruit. It finishes long with berry fruit, fine tannins and cedary oak. Drink young while it is vibrant and fresh but will age in the medium term for up to ten years.

Grant Burge Barossa Ink Shiraz is full bodied and opulent with jammy dark fruits. This wine is an inky purple colour with a blackberry nose. The palate is opulent and full of jammy dark fruits complimented by good balance and fine tannins.
