Dalwood Estate Shiraz is from the rich red soils of the Hunter Valley. Current vintage was warm and dry with low yielding and concentrated fruit. Deeply coloured with red fruits and spice followed by a seamless palate with well integrated oak.

Born-and-bred Hunter Valley specialist, Aaron Mercer spent years at Tamburlaine, and had stints at Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood, before setting up on his own. He’s also worked in California, France and Germany so brings a great deal of experience to his winemaking, with a a great small-batch range from premium Hunter Valley sites, Tumbarumba and Orange. Whitebox Shiraz has aromas of dark fruit, spice and leather that leads into a palate of blackberries and cedar. The fruit sweetness is balanced by firm acid and fine tannins. A great example of Heathcote Shiraz from a favourite of Dan Murphy's customers over the years.
