Château Latour à is an unclassified producer yet amongst the great crus of the Pomerol appellation. The excellent 1982 vintage has produced a Latour à for the ages. La Dominique is a Grand Cru Classe growth of Saint-Émillion, leading the way in many fields of modernisation and innovation amongst the chateaux of Bordeaux. Owner Clement Fayat has spent decades on improving everything from vinification facilities, to drainage, to the cellars, to a bright red (and controversially visible from a distance) vat house completed in 2013. Benefitting (similarly to their famous neighbours, Ch. Cheval Blanc) from a proximity to Pomerol, La Dominique produces Merlot-led wines that combine vigour and elegance.

Chateau Canon la Gaffelière is a Grand Cru Classé Chateau in the St Emilion appellation of Bordeaux. The Grand Vin is a Merlot dominant blend often with a substantial portion of Cabernet Franc. Hand harvested and sorted, the grapes undergo cold maceration prior to fermentation. Maturation takes place in 50% new French oak barriques. In top years, Chateau Canon La Gaffelière is supremely elegant, displaying beautiful perfume and richness with smooth velvety tannins.
