Chateau La Gaffeliere

This is an exceptional effort for the vintage. There are plenty of sumptuous, velvety and heady aromatics, but what sets the wine apart is its delicacy on the palate. It is part of the wine’s mystery that it can combine these two seemingly contradictory elements yet emerge so fully formed. The finish is complete and very long indeed; here, the wine’s complexity comes to the fore, revealing silky plum, cool earth and iron ore notes. The progress made here in recent years is commendable and heartwarming. This is another superb wine in a run of very successful vintages. Château La Gaffelière wines have a proven track record for aging gracefully. The 2022 vintage is no exception. With its balanced structure and refined tannins, this wine has the potential to evolve and develop complex nuances over the years. It presents an opportunity to experience the evolution of a truly exceptional Bordeaux.

Château Hosanna Pomerol

Chateau Pichon Comtesse Lalande

The Premier Cru Classe Chateau Angelus takes its name from the three church bells of the town of Saint-Emilion whose tolling has always been audible from the estate’s vineyards. This legendary property was founded in 1782 and, for 8 generations, the family de Boüard de Laforest has carefully guarded its exceptional legacy. A sophisticated bouquet with extraordinarily pure blackberry, raspberry, inkwell and crushed iris petals scents, like the Carillon but HD in terms of its clarity. The palate is beautifully defined on the entry, the Cabernet component steering it towards say, Figeac or Cheval Blanc stylistically. It already feels very harmonious, the satin-like texture is supported by real substance and grip on the finish, perhaps more density than some of its peers.

Château La Conseillante Pomerol

Château La Conseillante is a classic Pomerol red that regularly fights it out with Pétrus as appellation wine of the vintage. Whether it be slightly more difficult years like the 2007 or 2008 or in sublime vintages like this 2009, La Conseillante's Merlot dominated wines have a refinement about them coupled with an unctuousness that make them very pleasing to drink early. Notes of mulberry, ripe raspberries and earthy truffle/mushroom are all present in a medium to full-bodied wine that will age confortably for the next 20+ years.
