Hardys Reserve Merlot
From Hardy's reserve range - a full flavoured and aromatic wine with a strong berry palate and soft tannins. A very generous style.
Gibson Reserve Merlot
Highly perfumed with fine intertwined scents of stone fruit, dark chocolate, almond and cinnamon. A plush mouth filling palate showing many complex flavours from fruit to mineral is beautifully balanced with fine French oak and a soft but sure back palate followed by a long lingering finish.
Our flagship wine, made from clones that are new to Australia, on a superior site that produces fruit a grade or two above what is normally expected of Australian Merlot. This is the wine that created all the Ruckus. From a significant parcel of four new clones of Merlot. Situated on a rockly sloping rise where the soils comprise iron-rich Terra Rossa over a limestone and clay base. The interplay between a plate of clay and infertile limestone strike a balance to create Merlot with complexity, structure and aromatics. The vineyard is meticulously managed with moderate yield from mature, balanced vines.
Chateau La Croix-De-Gay
One of the first Pomerol properties to bottle at least some of their production at the estate in the mid-to-late 1800s, the Chateau continued to grow in size as the owners acquired small purchases from nearby vineyards. Today the estate is in the hands of the Raynaud and Lebreton families. The 2016 vintage has earned acclaim from critics, with Andrew Caillard praising it as Very intuitive to the year, and Neal Martin warmly admiring the purity contained within.
