Many of you will remember Sam Trimboli from his days at Warburn Estate where, every vintage, he’d pick up literally hundreds of awards. He’s still on a winning streak, but now he’s renting space all for himself at a winery in Riverina, New South Wales. Sam makes there the mighty Black Duck, and his white version – the equally fruity and irresistible White Duck. Sam has been in the region for many years, so knows exactly where the best grapes are growing. In 2021, he selected when he wanted them picked too, cool fermenting and adding a touch of citrusy Pinot Grigio to the blend. This is the sort of wine you should never be short of, ready chilled in the fridge. Exuberant with bright melon fruit – serve solo or with a spicy noodle dish.

Perched on the wire, faint chirping and twittering notes convey the sounds of dusk in Adelaide. Sparrows Moon presents lifted white peach and citrus blossum aromas with underlying tropical fruit. Farm Hand Chardonnay is a well-balanced white wine with aromas of citrus, sweet nectarine and underlying creamy notes. An elegant flavour combination predominantly comprising of stone fruits and citrus gives way to a crisp finish which provides a well-rounded mouthfeel.

This Pinot Gris has a bright straw colour with lifted aromas of honeysuckle pear and floral notes. Ageing in oak has given the wine a creamy texture and with crisp acidity on the finish.

A lovely approachable Chardonnay from one of the most famous wineries in Australia. White peach and creamy oak notes are followed by soft rich stone fruit characters on the palate. Great value!
