The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a deep and vibrant ruby red with aromas of dried red fruits and dried wild herbs. The wine is then racked off into 10 to 25 hectolitre Slavonian oak casks for a period of around 40 months prior to being bottle-aged for at least 15 months. In response to climate change and a quest for elegance, Graetz has incorporated grapes from a new vineyard near Fiesole. This breezy, high-elevation site contributes 30-35% of the fruit, imparting beautiful clarity, sharpness, and a lifted bouquet. The result is a vibrant, transparent, and fresh wine with notable acidity and aromatic intensity. Testamatta is evolving, making it a wine to watch.
