Chateau Angelus, GRAND CRU CLASSE Le Carillon de l'Angelus
LE CARILLON DE L'ANGELUS Second wine of Ch. Angelus , St-Emilion
Te Mata Estate Coleraine Cabernet Merlot
Te Matas Hawkes Bay estate is a prestigious winery with a rich history, producing some of New Zealands most celebrated wines. If the Langtons Classification crossed the Tasman, Te Mata Coleraine would sit alongside Grange at its very pinnacle. Established, esteemed, outstanding vintage after vintage, the glowing adjectives come thick and fast.
CHEVAL DES ANDES Malbec Cabernet Petit Verdot
Cheval des Andes is the fruit of an encounter between two exceptional estates, and a perfect reflection of the Franco-Argentine style. This unique alliance combines the savoir-faire of the Saint-Emilion Château Cheval Blanc Premier Grand Cru Classé A, and the altitude terroir of Terrazas de los Andes.
Baron de Philippe Rothschild - Concha Y Toro Almaviva Cabernet
Almaviva is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. In 2015, it earned James Sucklings illustrious Wine of The Year. It is an energetic and elegant Cabernet, with intense aromatics and a full body. Almaviva sees Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro in collaboration. Founded in 1997, the vineyard is located in Chiles Maipo Valley. The aim? To make French style grand cru classé quality wines in Chile.
Château d'Issan Margaux
The 2010 Chateau d'Issan is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, showing 'classic Margaux' in its perfume, finesse and apparent elegance. Soils are gravel and clay, which contributes to the high-tones of perfume from the wine, and though an estate that is neccesarily clawing its way back to a higher profile, is doing so with deeds in bottle over showmanship. On its side, the vineyard is dense with older vines that naturally offer lower yields, allowing for a higher quality of fruit for the winemaking team, in turn producing a wine of stellar quality from 2010.
Les Pensees de Lafleur , second wine of Ch Lafleur
Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases, Second Wine of Ch Las-Cases
With one of the longest and most pedigreed histories in the Medoc region, Chateau Leoville-Las-Cases has passed through the hands of some of Frances most notable and wealthiest noble families, culminating in the Las Cases family - the final royal family to hold title to the Chateau. Up until the French Revolution, after which large portions of it were sold off, it was one of the largest vineyards in Bordeaux. Today, the estate remains family owned by the Delons, of which brother Jean Hubert and sister Genevieve manage proceedings. Their second wine, Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases, is a relative newcomer, only having been released for the first time in 2009. The 2016 vintage has been praised for its traditional style and light, nimble palate.
Ulysses
Sandalford Prendiville Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
St Hugo Vetus Purum Cabernet Sauvignon
The nose is intense and multi-faceted. Notes of blackcurrant and cedar are interwoven into a sophisticated expression that constantly intrigues. Harmony and balance are immediately apparent in this elegant, medium to full-bodied wine. The palate is assertive yet refined, with concentrated flavours of blackcurrant, berry and olive supported by subtle cedar spice from the oak. This is a premium Cabernet Sauvignon reflecting the unique terroir and pristine environment of the Coonawarra.
