Nanny Goat Vineyard is the clear leader of the pack when it comes to affordable Central Otago Pinot Noir. Still medium-bodied on the palate with soft, powdery tannin, this is a Pinot for the moment.

Rich and fresh flavour, bursting with juciy raspberry and cherry, framed by integrated savoury oak. Hints of liquorice and clove are accompanied by layers of delicate tanning, creating an opulent texture that flows to a smooth, lingering finish.

Saddleback is the second label to Greg Hay's Peregrine and the Pinot Noir is made using fruit from the Gibbston and Cromwell Basin sub regions of Central Otago. Light, elegant with black cherry and plum fruit, held together by a fine tannin structure and refreshing acidity.

A Central Otago Pinot with earthiness and depth to wallow in. The pristine cool-climate along with long sun drenched days allowed the fruit to ripen magnificently and produce aromas of deep red cherry, blackberry and cocoa. In the mouth the Squealing Pig is rich and generous with velvet like tannins and a wonderful, long finish.

Mocha spice, blood plums and dark cherry characters with a seamless, silky texture and fine tannins that will see this develop for several years yet. TERRA SANCTA WINES Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir, Central Otago

Mt Difficulty is one of Central Otago's oldest and most prestigious vineyards. Having tamed the rugged region since 1992, Mt Difficulty produce wines of utmost character and charm. Their Roaring Meg Pinot Noir shows lovely perfumed blackberry and dark cherry fruits along with a hint of spice. On the palate the wine has a sweet berry character along with balanced, ripe textural tannins that rise gracefully out of the mid-palate to finish the wine.

Red fruit aromatics are underpinned by cherry and Christmas cake spice while the palate is well textured.
