How can something that is so light in alcohol have such incredible palate weight and texture? It's an art form and Ernst Loosen is a master. The Kabinett style means a decent lick of residual sugar, but the steely, crunchy acid means you'll hardly notice it. Simply stunning.

Single block Riesling from our East Coast Hazards vineyard. The Devil's Corner Resolution Riesling would be perfect with a range of seafood dishes. Lightly battered whiting fillets seared with a garden salad and a lime vinaigrette would be perfect. As would a roasted lemon infused chicken with an Asian slaw. Devil's Corner Resolution Pinot Noir is a full bodied style of Pinot Noir showing blackberry, sour cherry and hints of cedar from the quality French oak. The wine displays a juicy fruit driven middle palate with a crisp savoury texture and fine grained tannins. Given the wines depth and structure it is well worth putting some away in the cellar and looking at it again in 5 to 8 years.

Made as a fruit-driven enjoy now style, this Devil's Corner Pinot from Tasmania's Tamar region shows layers of dusty cherry, well integrated spices and subtle oak on the palate. A generous savoury and seductive palate with a light astringency. Very interesting cool climate Pinot packed with great value.

Henschke Julius is a classic expression of Eden Valley Riesling. An almost perfect vintage has provided the citrus blossom and lime aromas and an intense minerally structure which will develop for a decade at least.

'Tupelo' is Sam Connew's Alsatian-inspired blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling and some beautiful Gewurztraminer. This is a very well-constructed version of this classic aromatic blend, with good acidity and a touch of grip to offset the natural fruit sweetness of these expressive varieties. It's delicious, interesting and good value, the perfect wine to tuck into with a light meal. Sam's wines are only made in small quantities so get in quick! The überblanc Riesling is attributed to a über 2001 vintage, winemaker Nick Glaetzer experienced in the Pflaz region of Germany, learning first hand some of the award winning techniques used by their winemakers. Tasmanian grapes sourced for the wine display the core elements, highly regarded by the Pflaz winemakers for or elegantly structured and balanced Riesling. Delicate lime zest and floral aromas fill the glass. Further citrus flavours develop on the fresh mineral structure, enhanced by the juicy fruit flavours.
