Sourced from the original Dixons Creek Estate vineyard, this Chardonnay speaks of place and shines a light on one of the Yarra Valleys most prized grape varieties. Fresh, zesty citrus and melon jump from the glass supported by notes of almond meal and sublte French oak spice. The palate shows incredible clarity of fruit framed up by the considered use of new French oak. Barrell fermentation and lees stirring adds a level of richness and compexity delivering an wine that speaks of place. A lovely off white, copper hue to the wine. Not quite rose, but a really appealing blush. The nose has mandarin peel, fennel and a touch of funk and wet earth. Palate is racy, with cumquat and dried flower notes. Finishes with a vanilla note, and a savoury, phenolic bite. Theres skinsy and bunchy notes throughout, but they are in harmony with the pristine fruit and energy of a white wine from this cool, humid year.

Chardonnay - Golden straw with distinct green tinges. Aromas of lifted peach, melon and grapefruit. An array of other fruit flavours is complemented by toasty characters. The finish is crisp and lingering.
