The Linder family established St Hallett Winery in 1944. For over 70 years they have built a reputation as specialists in Barossa Shiraz. The team at St Hallett, headed up by Stuart Blackwell and Toby Barlow, have done a fantastic job with this shiraz, choosing the best grapes from the vineyards to create a wine that is lush with great depth of flavour.

A tried and true expression of ripe and generously flavoured shiraz that lets the fruit do the talking rather than excessive oak or alcohol. Traditionally a blend of Barossa and Eden Valley estate grown fruit, there's so much to like here ; delicately scented spice, earth and licorice complexities intertwine with layers of supple, mouth filling blue and black fruits. Savoury, long and fine, quality French oak imparts gentle cedar notes to complete the picture. 'A blend of Barossa and Eden Valleys. The wine reflects the slate and granite soils with strong mineral notes, and fruit flavours of blackberry, Morello cherry. Complex deeper notes of earth and cured meats bring the palate to a long and evenly weighted finish. Strikingly beautiful, the wine shows perfumed aromas of dark plum, mulberry, thyme, clove and roasted hazelnut on the nose, leading to a beautifully refined palate that’s silky and flowing. The wine offers splendid sophistication and harmony.The combined effects of site soil and climate on the vine. The Barossa has some very distinct sub-regions which exhibit their own unique influence on the wine. A journey through the Terroirs is a lesson in the Barossa’s versatility. We have chosen Eden Valley to highlight its rich, darker flavours unique to this high altitude, cooler climate and rocky, clay loam soils.

Full bodied yet velvety texture with plums and raspberries dominating. Hints of sweet spice, black olive pepper add to the complexity.

St Hugo GSM is aromatic and bright, yet exudes the style and pedigree which are hallmarks of the St Hugo label. This Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend shows lifted fruit aromas of Turkish delight and briary complexity. The palate is plush, full and complex. Ripe fruit flavours are complemented by silky tannins and subtle oak.

Crafted from grapes sourced from only the old and gnarled vines from some of the Barossa Valley's most historic sites, this wine demonstrates the living history inherited from this region's forefathers and their legacy for quality. Deepening amber in colour with tints of ruby. There are enticing aromas of dark chocolate and warming spice leading to a luscious palate of concentrated dark forest berry fruits derived from old Barossa vines - layered with complexity of spice from time spent maturing in oak barrels, silky tannins and a long finish.

St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.
