Jim Barry Single Vineyard Eastern Clare Valley Ranges Cabernet Sauvignon
Enjoy a fabulous exclusive Cabernet Sauvignon from Clare Valley's Jim Barry estate. A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, the Barry family celebrated the 60th anniversary of its winery in 2020, the year it also scooped the title of Halliday’s ‘Winery of the Year’. Over three generations the Barry name has been famous throughout the wine world and synonymous with the Clare Valley. Jim Barry bought his first vineyard here in 1959, and even helped the Taylor family open their winery a decade later. Son Peter took over Jim Barry in 1985, and today brothers Tom and Sam, with sister Olivia, have raised the bar even higher. Tom and Sam have been shortlisted for Halliday's Winemaker of the Year 2026. This is a new exclusive, a juicy and approachable Cabernet from the Clare Valley's high altitude Eastern. The Barrys’ vineyards along the valley’s Eastern Ranges, which sit between 480 and 500 metres above sea level...as Tom Barry explains: “You have 35 degree days but it will get well down below 10 degrees in the nights which really helps you build flavour and ripen the grapes evenly without high alcohol levels."
Portraits Of Clare Cabernet Merlot
Winemaking in the Clare Valley stretches back over 160 years. We celebrate a region and its heritage by producing this selection of its finest portraits. Admired for its beautiful landscapes, landmarks and world-class wine, the Clare Valley has a lot to offer - just like this flavoursome Cabernet Merlot. This classic blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which shows spicy and generous fruit flavours and is complemented by supple tannins. It delivers great length and generosity on the palate, and is perfect to pair with barbecued or grilled meat dishes.
Taylors The Pioneer Shiraz
This wine is generous and rounded at first with juicy, deep berry compote fruits then yielding to a tightly woven frame of firm yet generous tannins. There are alluring, coconutty oak and fine dark chocolate characters, with a deep, soft centre of ripe berry fruits. Elegant acids and light, long tannins carry the palate to deliver a lingering finish.
Annie's Lane Cabernet Merlot
Ripe and generous, the leafy, minty characters of Cabernet are complemented by the softness and plummy fruit coming from the Merlot. A nice touch of sweet oak completes the picture.
Taylors The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Sauvignon gives pronounced flavours of chocolate, red berries and black cherry skins with echoes of light tobacco and bramble on the finish.
