The Stonehaven winery was built in 1998 by Hardy’s, with a focus to express what the Limestone Coast can offer as a region. Since then the brand has relaunched back into the market with wth a refreshed look with a range of wines for every occasion.

With a name that directly translates from French as 'The Soil', the Le Sol Syrah (Shiraz) pays homage to the terroir that creates this rich and evocative wine. With the trademark Gimblett Gravels stony soil, with exhibits amazing refinement and breeding while not relinquishing body and complexity.

Australia's oldest family owned winery continue to produce wines from the famed Coonawarra terra rossa strip that offer quite simply amazing value. Considered by many to still be the region's best kept secret, The Cigar is a truly delightful Cabernet Sauvignon with lifted violet and blackcurrant aromas with a balanced note of cedar and tobacco. Known to many as the 'Baby Menzies', the Cigar is a brilliant modern take on Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and has always shown a propensity to sell out quickly each vintage.

Heathcote Winery Mail Coach Shiraz has a nice touch perfume and spice to a normally full-bodied regional style. Enjoyable now for lovers of big bold reds and a wine built to age gracefully in the cellar in the mid term. Shows intensity, good structure, complexity and fine tannins.

Cabernet Sauvignon is Coonawarra's pre-eminent grape variety. Our 2021 vintage is well structured with a palate of rich ripe grape tannins, supported and elaborated with french oak framework. Cassis and plum, cedar and cocoa. Great presence and complexity.

The Shiraz grapes for The Struie come from old vines in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The Eden component brings floral spicy aromas that are supported by more brooding notes of tar and chocolate from the Barossa. The palate is luscious and silky, and this is a Fine Wine favourite.

Dense inky black heart with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Streaming out of the glass are intense blackcurrant and mulberry aromas which are complimented by hints of red liquorice, cedary tobacco characters and bay leaf notes. Rich yet gorgeously refined the medium to full bodied palate is layered with ripe blackcurrant, red liquorice and mulberry fruits which meld into a back drop of cedary tobacco, subtle earth and bay leaf characters. Fine grained seamlessly integrated tannin structure. Understated in its power, it possesses wonderful finesse finishing long and elegant. Drink over the next 6-8 years. Alc. 14.5%

The Brand family story starts with the arrival of Eric Brand in Coonawarra in 1950. Today Brand & Sons is run by Sam Brand, the 4th generation of this family, which has played a major role in Coonawarra for over 70 years. This is a Coonawarra Shiraz of great acclaim and considerable complexity. "The 'Remnants' is a reference to the ancient sea bed that formed the hardened limestone seen throughout Coonawarra. Blackberry, dark cherry pit and elderberry. Hawthorn and kampot peppers. Nyon olive, sea moss and granite. There is a volcanic rock or mineral element that speaks on ancient seabed and time passing its a wine for those that like to ponder. Decant and its linear frame and perky acidity. Full bodied dry red. Bouquet shows raspberry, spice and cracked pepper aromas with subtle oak influence. Deliciously ripe raspberry, mulberry and licorice flavours mingle with nuances of black pepper, chocolate and spice, finishing with vibrant black fruit, smooth velvety tannins and toasty vanilla oak.

Blood plum, blackcurrant, cold drip coffee and ironstone. Densely flavoured through the mid palate - full of plush black fruits, leather and spice. With all the depth and broodiness mentioned, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a heavy beast of a wine – there’s a brightness of fruit adding freshness and a kick of vibrancy here. Tannins are powdery and fine, wound tightly amongst the ripe cassis core of fruit that drives the palate.
