Neighbouring its capital Aigues-Mortes, Domaine Royal de Jarras offers a wealth of discovery. The “Vignoble des Sables” is planted on an island, which was long ago given the name of Isle de Stel. The place is loaded with history and tales of the knights who accompanied Saint Louis, King of France on his Crusades to the Holy Land. Domaine Royal de Jarras 2018 vintage has a nice brilliance and is pale grey in colour. The nose is intense with aromas of red berries and white peach followed by hints of citrus fruit. The palate is generous and ample with flavours of white flesh fruits, enhanced by a saline fish. Pair this wine with appetiser boards and Mediterranean dishes.

Standard to a Provence style rosé, Maison Breban Villa Aix AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence is produced from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah. Empowering the wine while young with aromas of red berries the Grenache also provides its body, power, and magnitude. The Cinsault provides the freshness, delicacy and fruity touch, while also conveying other nuanced qualities from the other varietals in the blend. The Villa Aix rosé wine goes well with charcuterie, grilled fish, and many white meats. Best to be served at a temperature of 8° to 10°C.

Nick Spencer Wines is a small Canberra based wine company dedicated to producing exceptional, hand crafted wines that honour their local landscape. In 2011 Nick was a Len Evans Tutorial Scholar and a finalist in the Young Guns of Wine, that year he also won the National Wineshow Trophy for Best Shiraz. In 2014 Nick was a finalist in the Gourmet Traveller Wine Winemaker of the Year awards. His wines are regularly recognised by James Halliday, most recently being noted in the top ten best new wineries for 2019. A light, crisp and dry style of Rose made from Grenache, Sangiovese and Merlot grown in the Hilltops region of Southern New South Wales. Aromas of tangerine, red berries and fresh watermelon. The palate is is beautifully balanced and dry.
