This Heirloom Vineyards Eden Valley Shiraz has lifted red fruit signature of Eden Shiraz, but its site also offers some very unique and distinctive aromas of blackberry and intriguing notes of a spice, and the perfume of blueberries. The palate is cool, fresh and light, but persistently fruity and very zingy. The finish is fine, natural and unforced. It's a delicious, confident drink. There is some cream and spice from the French Oak but it's all about the pure fruit.

Vibrant red colour with a subtle tinge of purple. Initial aromas are of delicate perfume and peppery spice typical of superior cool climate Shiraz aged in top quality French oak. The palate has a smooth velvety tannin structure, compelling firmness and tremendous depth of red fruit flavour, with dark plum, cherry and black berry characters predominant as a young wine.

Perfumed and varietal with classic Cabernet aromas of cassis, dark-berried fruit, and plum. Time in glass has afforded the wine further complexity with overtones of clove, anise, and tobacco leaf that create an intriguing array of aromas that carry well onto the palate. Wholesome and generous, this is a classic Eden Valley Cabernet with fine structural tannins driving a long and savoury finish.

St Hallett Higher Earth Syrah St Halletts Higher Earth Syrah marks a new chapter for a brand known for its bold, unmistakably Barossan Shiraz. This wine, a true Syrah style, is lighter on its toesethereal, evenwith perfume that skips from the glass, and a juicy freshness that calls for drinking, with pleasure, right now. It seeks to represent with purity and grace the high altitude and cool climate of the Eden Valley, a showcase of this unique sub-region.The fruit for Higher Earth comes from parcels in four of St Hallets Eden Valley vineyards. Each parcel is treated individually according to its readiness and maturity. Unlike other St Hallett cuvées, Higher Earth is fermented at cool temperatures to instil vigour and freshness. It is aged in 25% new French oak. The result is a Syrah with lashings of dark fruit flavour and a lick of black pepper spice.

Mountadam can boast being the “foremost producer of chardonnay in the Eden Valley” (Halliday), but their deeply layered, textural and complex reds are also creating great excitement amongst the trade. Try for yourself here with this 'exuberant' yet underrated Cabernet showing lovely florals of violets, dark brambly fruits and fine supple tannins. Love over Gold is made with a deft touch. The wine is magical, its core of fruit caresses the palate and displays great persistence. Love Over Golds tertiary aromas and minerality create complexity and drive into an extremely long finish.

Our “Love Over Gold Hommage” is a nod to the vision of the previous custodian of the estate, Bob McLean. Bob planted a small block of bush vine Mourvèdre near the winery and Grenache on the highest part of the vineyards. In 2022, for the first time, we kept a small portion of Mourvèdre and created “Hommage” in the tradition of great Chateauneuf du Pape. Made of 42% Mouvèdre, 42% Grenache and 16% Shiraz in 2022 all handpicked on April 8th. Each varietal was crushed separately with 10th whole bunch and fermented on skin for 20 days. After 12 months in barrel, the blend was finalised and a perfectly identical mount of Grenache and Mourvèdre came up as the best blend.

Deep purple with violet hues. Alluring aromas of mulberry, blue and black berries, red plum and fresh vanilla bean are carried by nuances of crushed lavender, flowering herbs, bay leaf and black pepper. The palate is wonderfully structured, revealing intense flavours of red berry fruits, dark plum and Swiss chocolate, and finishing rich and textured, with fine-grained tannins and extraordinary length.
