David Hook's Shiraz is medium bodied, some vibrant characters of spicy red berries and soft rounding tannins with hints of vanilla oak on the palate. Ripe fruits richness with a lengthy finish. A great number to have handy when friends drop by.
Mr Mick Rosé
This Mr Mick Rosé is very close to the Tuscan style of rosé, with the alluring complexity of bright red fruits that lingers on the palate before a cleansing, dry finish with fresh acidity at the end. This beautiful rosé is a great match with most Asian cuisine, or with any dishes that has has a little spiciness.
Sticks Pinot Noir
Once again this producer provides us with a handy little number showing plenty of varietal and regional characteristics. Sticks Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley, features lovely red cherry flavours with playfull spices and charry oak influence. Lean with subtle tannins and medium finish.
Wynns Shiraz
Wynns Shiraz continues to be one of Australia's affordable favourites. Tucked away in the cellar of many budding wine collectors, Wynns Shiraz has all the structure and pedigree of some of its higher priced brothers and sisters. Rich varietal characters of plum, spice and pepper are woven through the minty regional notes and framed by fine, firm tannins.
6ft6 Pinot Noir
This is a great value for money Pinot! 6ft6 has lovely aromas of cherries raspberries and a hint of white pepper on the nose. The palate is brimming with bright lively fruit and the balance is impeccable.
Brokenwood Shiraz
Brokenwood Shiraz is a ripe and generous Shiraz with lifted cherry and mint aromas nicely balanced with sweet chocolate notes on the nose and a soft rich palate with savoury cedary flavours and fine grained tannins on the finish.
Krondorf Shiraz
Krondorf is a name synonymous with the Barossa Valley with a long and prestigious history. Beginning life with the establishment of the Glenview winery back in the 1850s, Krondorf was reinvigorated by Grant Burge in 1978 and today has gone on to become one of the country's most awarded wineries. The Shiraz is a class-A, born and bred, full-bodied Barossa red. Bright garnet in colour with a vibrant nose of mulberry and hints of sweet strawberry. In balance tannin and acid balance along with a superb long length make this Barossan a wonderful value-for-money buy.
Bunnamagoo Shiraz
The nose shows complex savoury, earthy, bramble aromas with lifted American oak. The palate is medium bodied with bright red currant and hints of spice and blackberry.
Pirramimma Shiraz
Pirramimma Shiraz is full-fruited and powerful, with sweet plum and mocha along with cinnamon notes and dark chocolate which are all typical regional characters of McLaren Vale.
