Leconfield's Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship of Leconfield and a classic Coonawarra Cabernet. Impressive intensity of fleshy blackcurrant and blueberry flavours framed by structured tannins, Paul Mas Cabernet Sauvignon is a gem found in the South of France with amazing value.

The 2010 Chateau d'Issan is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, showing 'classic Margaux' in its perfume, finesse and apparent elegance. Soils are gravel and clay, which contributes to the high-tones of perfume from the wine, and though an estate that is neccesarily clawing its way back to a higher profile, is doing so with deeds in bottle over showmanship. St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

The Eden Hall Cabernet Sauvignon from the Eden Valley is a wonderfully striking Cabernet with swathes of lifted violets, ripe plums and blackcurrant all supported by a quality oak regime that has integrated brilliantly. While youthful the wine is plump and juicy, it will age very nicely and improve with some careful cellaring over the next decade.

Le Difese (Toscana IGT) is produced by Tenuta San Guido since 2003. It is a 70% Cabernet and 30% Sangiovese blend. The wine is distinguished by a good structure and is extremely supple making it very pleasant and drinkable.

This Cabernet Merlot by Tenuta san Guido was created for two reasons: first of all, the desire to see what they could accomplish with Merlot, a grape that they had never used before; second, the desire to offer the consumer a wine which could be appreciated at a younger age compared to their veteran Sassicaia.
