A deep crimson red which opens with the classical Margaret River nose...fresh varietal notes of bright berried fruits, briar and sea spray, followed by wafts of chocolate and mocha with subtle spiced oak aromas. A medium to full bodied palate shows cassis and Satsuma plum characteristics, leading into the sweet mid-palate depth of chocolate and mocha, finishing with defined talents. The wine is elegant and shows great length of flavour and well-structured palate line. 'Pure and fragrant, expect a nose layered with cassis, blackcurrant, leaf and dusty spice rack spices, while in your mouth it's pure, beautifully structured, fine and dry. Fleshy red fruits of strawberries are apparent on the nose - this is bright, fresh and very tempting. The red fruited theme continues on the palate with savoury notes keeping the palate balanced. Cleansing acidity creates a crisp and cleansing finish. In typical Rose fashion, extremely moreish!

The oldest vines in Margaret River form the backbone of Vasse Felix. A modern, elegant, cool climate style crafted from our premier parcels of southern Margaret River Syrah (Shiraz). Wild fermented, with a portion of whole bunch fermentation and carbonic maceration, this aromatic, fine-boned Syrah is luscious, spicy and beautifully complex, representing the future of our favourite ‘alternative’ Margaret River red varietal. Lifted aniseed, white pepper, cacao, clove, and pine sawdust sit on bright fragrant raspberry, cranberry and Japanese sour plum. Beautifully silky entrance, with chalkiness on the finish leaving a dry and immensely fragrant perfume lingering. Raspberry and cranberry juice with a red peppercorn spice and a hint of red liquorice remain.
