Bowen Estate Shiraz

Bowen Estate Shiraz shared similar firm structure as it's sibling, the Cabernet Sauvignon. It's lifted aromas of ripe black fruits, warming spices and hint of earthy background makes it a welcoming drink with hearty food.

Balnaves Cabernet Sauvignon

Balnaves has always produced a a classically elegant Coonawarra Cabernet. Blackcurrant fruit, liquorice and mineral characters are enhanced by cedary French oak. Beautifully balanced with a long, textured finish.

Mildara Cabernet Sauvignon

Packed full of mint, blackcurrants, spice and cedary oak, this wine is indicative of how a great the 2004 vintage was. Drinking beautifully now.

Secret Selection Heathcote Shiraz

While we cant name names, here's something we can tell you: the winery behind this stunning shiraz is a family owned, much loved, 5 star Halliday winery. Abounding in black fruits, coffee, white pepper, ironstone and cedar, you'll be impressed from your first sip.

Patrick of Coonawarra Home Block Cabernet Sauvignon

2006 Patrick of Coonawarra Home Block Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes were grown at the Toccaciu Coonawarra estate, and the wine was matured for 26 months in French and American oak; while I am not a fan of ProCork, this is a very attractive wine, which has cruised through six, rising seven, years, the cassis and cedar flavours supported by very fine but persistent tannins.

Jack Estate Mythology Shiraz

Eight at the Gate Family Selection Shiraz

2016 was a superb vintage in Wrattonbully, and Shiraz was one of the stand-out varieties, as this impressive example shows. Drinking well.Inky deep brick colour. Aromas of prune, blackcurrant, leather, white pepper, earth and mocha. A developed Shiraz with a concentrated plummy core, firm and layered tannins, plenty of chocolatey oak, and secondary cigar box and old leather notes.

Wynns Coonawarra Estate V&A Lane Shiraz

V&A Lane Shiraz showcases a contrasting wine style from one of the most beloved grape varietals. A purposely early harvest to highlight a fresh red fruit spectrum, naturally lower alcohol, whole bunch inclusion, wild ferments, and the use of larger oak for maturation are just some of the techniques employed to make these beautiful food friendly wines.

Patrick of Coonawarra Joanna Wrattonbully Shiraz

Established by Patrick Tocaciu in 1998, our Joanna vineyardis named after the old settlement of Joanna in Wrattonbully. We introduced Joanna to the Sngle Site range in 2018 after having discovered a batch in the winery that was to good to ignore. The south facing slope allows for a long ripening period and concentrated flavour. Expect rich mulberry, concentrated dark fruits, chocolate nuances and an elegance that only cool climate vines can boast. TASTING NOTE: The aroma of this wine is balanced between chocolate oak and raspberry fruit. The palate is medium weight with dark berry fruits and a concentrated fruitcake spice. It is powerful yet elegant and will complex and age well over the next 10 years. WINEMAKER’S NOTE: From the south-facing slope of our Wrattonbully vineyard. This allows for slower ripening and concentration of flavour. Matured for 28 months in new American and used French oak Hogsheads. VINTAGE NOTE: A cool growing season and above average rainfall lead to a mild growing season that presented some challenges towards the end of harvest. The Shiraz however, was the stand out wine of the season with the balance of spice and ripeness returning to a more traditional style cool climate wine.

Eight at the Gate Sparkling Shiraz Non-Vintage

Gorgeous purple foam. Plums and dark cherry fruits with Christmas cake spice and some oak complexity. Refreshing and not too heavy, a real crowd pleaser.
