Hancock & Hancock Shiraz Grenache
Restrained and supple, lots of ripe dark plum, pepper and spice of Shiraz with the rose petal perfume lift and red cherry taste of Grenache. Lovely lightness and brightness to the back palate with a faint dried herbal and savoury edge, making it terrific immediate drinking but will cellar nicely for 5-10 years.
Moulin de Gassac Guilhem
In the tradition of the great Shiraz and Grenache based blends of the Southern Rhone Valley, this terrific introduction to French reds from the South of France has all the juicy plum and raspberry fruit you could ask for, all wrapped up in a spicy, savoury framework. Great buying!
Paxton AAA Shiraz Grenache
Shiraz and Grenache blend beautifully in many of the warmer parts of South Australia. This AAA is Paxton's 9th release, crafted similar to a Rhone-style wine yet it is packed with Au's Terroir. Bright with juicy red berry fruits and spices on the palate with well integrated oak and tannins, giving this wine a remarkable lengthy finish.
Glaetzer Wallace Shiraz Grenache
Ripe old vine Shiraz from the heart of the Barossa contributes weight and texture Grenache adding cherry toffee earthy characters and solid savoury tannins. Will reward careful cellaring for a decade.
Sepp No 5 Barossa Shiraz Grenache
Peter Seppelt is a fifth-generation Barossa winemaker whose family started making wine back in 1851. Based at Grand Cru Estate, an 1889 homestead in the south-east corner of the Barossa that is a mixture of farm, cellar door and luxury accommodation, Peter makes a variety of wines from Barossa Valley, Eden Valley and Adelaide Hills fruit. This wine has Eden Valley Shiraz for lifted fruit as well as rock-solid Barossa Valley floor Shiraz to add power, with the red berry fruit of Grenache softening the palate. Plenty of blackberries and plum, some cherries and well-integrated oak. The finish is smooth and textured.
De Bortoli Windy Peak Shiraz Grenache
Shiraz Grenache was a warm, dry and early season. Good ripeness and reasonable acidity. Grenache particularly perfumed. Will continue to develop complexity and interest for 3-4 years in a good cellar.
Robert Oatley Hancock & Hancock Shiraz Grenache
This delicious red wine is a blend of two varieties: 73% Shiraz and 27% Grenache, harvested from vineyards in the McLaren Vale district. Typically, Shiraz wines display an abundance of fruit sensation that is complemented by warm alcohol and gripping tannins. Grenache, on the other hand, contributes its classic, bright raspberry/strawberry flavours, juicy palate and medium to high level of alcohol. The bouquet teems with dominating scents of ripe plums and spice from the Shiraz strain, while the addition of floral notes and ripe cherry tannins from Grenache make the combination superb. The front palate is treated to flavours of red berries, black currants, tea and chocolate. A lovely lightness on the back palate leads to a satisfying finish. This is a medium to full bodied wine with taut acidity and hard tannins. Cellaring for a few years will add further layers of flavour. This blend goes well with braised beef cheeks, slow-cooked roast of pork or lamb, Moroccan tagine dishes (slow-cooked savoury stew), and aged cheeses.
Magpie Estate The Schnell Shiraz Grenache
Deep in colour with warm berry fruits on a vibrant nose with spice and a touch of oak. Its full bodied with a lovely rich texture. Vibrant berry and cherry fruit, with lots of spice; some meaty savoury notes. The liquorice and creamy integrated oak character makes it really voluptuous. Hugely appealing and has that classic Magpie hallmark of great drinkability. Like all Magpie Estate wines we believe in drinkability and versatility. This generous yet juicy red is great with Mediterranean foods, and is well suited with pizza and rich pasta dishes.
John Duval Plexus Shiraz Grenache Mouverdre

Scented aromas of blackberry, liquorice and dark raspberries intermingle with vanillin oak, hints of dark chocolate and spice. Supplely textured and rich, the palate is flush with liquorice, blackberry, dark plum and raspberry fruit which is underpinned by elements of vanillin cedar, faint earthy dark chocolate and spice.
