Quartz Reef Pinot Gris exhibits flavours of ripe pear, peach and marzipan with a rich texture and an off-dry mineral finish. Colour is lemon gold. Aroma is nutmeg, honey, ginger and white peach. The palate is rich and textural with a delicious fine acidity. Cellaring is 3-5 years.

Both are steep and elevated, and each is distinctive The Home Vineyard with its rare mix of soils, including schist,clay and chalk, and Rocky Point with its stony ground and almost treacherous slopes.A wide spectrum of aromatics from pear and white peach, citrus, quince and spice notes with an underlying minerality. These aromas are echoed on the palate, highlighted by crisp acidity and a long finish. The texture, freshness and concentrated aromatics mean that this wine will harmonise will with a wide range of dishes. Grapes for 2021 F-Series Old Vine Riesling were selected from the old organically grown vines in front of the our cellar door. The soils here are of the old type; fist sized stones composed of greywacke (a hard, dark type of sandstone streaked with quartz and feldspar) mixed alluvial gravel and silt. Vineyard practice for this wine is geared to produce ripe grapes that have had maximum “hang time” on the vine. Fruit is all hand harvested.

This winery retains its cult status by continually producing wines of poise, class and adhering to strict biodynamic principals. The Bannockburn Chardonnay is at this stage pert and linear, with floral and citrus notes. It will take a little time for this little gem to begin to give up its secrets.

Dopff Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg has quite phenomenal citrus notes with a luscious and toasty caramelised honey element. Beautifully balanced acidity and immense length. Sheer indulgence!

Dr Bürklin-Wolf Trocken Riesling 2007 is the perfect blend of pristine citrus and stone fruit aromas. With a crisp middle, lasting dry finish and hint of spice, this dry Riesling is delightful on the palate.

The alcohol levels are slightly higher than most years this leads to a softness in the body and finish of the wine. Aromas of lime zest, white jasmine and mandarin. The palate is complex with lemon juice, lime zest & a mineral finish.
