Named after Alfred Pizzini's grandmother, this is a medium bodied Sangiovese - warm and humble just like its namesake. Aromas of lightly spiced plums and cherries lead to hints of chocolate, leather and lovely savoury characters. The palate is generous and full flavoured with good length, soft tannins and flavours of plums and cherries.

Another great success story of grape grower turned grower/winemaker. Troy Kalleske is the latest custodian of a family heritage that dates back to 1853 when the Kalleske family first planted vineyards in the Moppa sub-discrict of Greenock, in the north-west of the Barossa Valley. This Shiraz (with a touch of Viognier and Petit Verdot) is 100% biodynamic and has concentrated aromas of blueberry, cloves, violets and dried fig. The silken palate that follows has dark fruit and lifted notes of floral with a sublime length of flavour.

The country ranges from undulating to steep hills with spectacular limestone escarpments that radically descend to the fast flowing Belubula River. Barbera is an Italian variety that has been grown in Australia in small qualities since the 1960s. Angullong ‘Fossil Hill’ Barbera is a succulent, medium bodied, savoury wine with abundant cherry, raspberry and herb flavours, complemented by textural and balanced tannins. The variety is eminently suited to cooler regions and should mature well in the bottle over the next five or six years. Enjoy it with barbecued lamb.
