Zonte's Footstep represents generations of grape growers who have not made Shiraz from the Barossa. Well, Baron Von Nemesis, the time has come.... all the milk chocolate in the world just won't do if you want something dark. We scoped the entire Barossa to find this tiny parcel of old vine Shiraz that fits perfectly with our philosophy of people, place and purpose.

2014 Z Wine Section 3146 Barossa Valley Shiraz. Shiraz performed well with high baumes and low yields keeping us on or toes. Ripe fruit flavour and good weighted wines helped us shape a classic and popular Barossa style with loads of raspberry, licorice, black pepper and chocolate for complexity.

The wine is gorgeously fruited and inviting on the nose showing blackberry, dark cherry, vanilla and cedar characters with seductive spicy complexity. It is succulent and fleshy on the palate with terrific fruit intensity, finishing superbly long and velvety. Up front and immensely appealing.

Our Valley & Valley range of wines are produced from vineyardsin both the Barossa and Eden Valleys. We aim for a style thattypifies the Barossa plush fruit, subtle use of oak and soft,round tannins. This Shiraz offers rich, concentrated red and bluefruits, dark chocolate and mocha notes with hints of spice andcedary oak. The palate is rich with good structure and greatlength of flavour.

Cellar 13 Barossa Grenache is a modern Grenache that proves old vines can learn new tricks. Just like the Cellar 13 shed, this Grenache proves that its whats on the inside that counts. A racy palate of vibrant red fruits, with lovely ripe varietal characters with a hint of rose water. Fine dusty tannin from grape skins combine with slight stalk tannin to deliver a fine medium bodied wine with persistence.

Dewey Station Wines is all about good humour, good times and serious wines. The Moonglow Rosé is uncomplicated. Its beautiful salmon pink colour is reminiscent of a perfect nights sky. The wine full-flavoured, overtly aromatic and just damn right pretty! And lucky for you, you dont have to go to the moon to find it!An aromatic delight, with lifted florals, sherbet and stunning red fruit bursting from the glass. The bright juicy fruit and acidity are perfectly balanced, leaving all who indulge wanting for more! Time to get on board!Toot Toot!

TASTING NOTESThe dark, brooding regional characters of plum, red cherry and liquorice are all to the fore of this wine.The palate is focused and linear, with dark bitter chocolate notes and an elegant long persistent finish. We recommend cellaring for 10 years.WINEMAKINGThe most westerly zone of the Barossa, known as the Western Slopes, gives rise to some of the richest expressions of Shiraz from the Barossa. Soil: Heavy brown earth, red clay and crackled ironstone Altitude: 290mTo ensure the unique character of this sub region is exemplified in the wine, small open fermenters and our basket press were employed to gently extract the wine.Aging in the finest quality oak and selection of the truest barrels has created a wine that respects and expresses its place of origin.
