The Lodge Hill vineyard is a masterstroke of the Jim Barry range of wines. Adding yet another layer of complexity to this producer's arsenal, Lodge Hill (at 480m) is one of the highest vineyards in the Clare, and sends down a bath of chocolate infused blackberries with liquorice spice. A gorgeous wine.

Shiraz Cabernet is an Australian classic blend which brings together the dark berry spice notes of Shiraz and the savoury structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend exudes vibrant berry fruit characteristics with mocha and dark chocolate on the palate. It is flavoursome, rich and balanced with integrated oak and a long smooth finish. Rich and flavoursome the 2018 Cutlass Single Vineyard Shiraz shows thick cuts of red berry and juicy dark plum with some whole bunch derived perfume and spice.The palate is long and persistent with complex fruit flavours overlaid with fresh toasty French Oak.

Kaesler have crafted their 2018 Stonehorse Cabernet from Clare Valley fruit, and although it will soften in the cellar in the medium-term, it's already drinking well.Deep, dark red. Plum, dark cherry and blackcurrant with subtle cedary oak, mint and dried herb. Opens with layers of red berry fruit, with notes of crushed leaf and earth, fine yet deep tannins and the start of secondary development adding complexity.
