Dense aromas of plum pudding, dried apricots and eastern spice introduce a voluptuous palate, boasting silky tannin, delicate hints of fresh summer berries and earthier tones of toasted oak and freshly cracked allspice. The Malleea (an aboriginal word for 'green paddock') is a very fine exapmle of the classic Australian Cabernet/Shiraz blend. The 2008 is rich, dark magenta in colour, with ripe plums, spice and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate is like a complex fruit cake with layers of fresh berries, black olives and hints of chocolate.

Les Trois Clefs (The Three Keys) is the emblem of the historic city of Avignon, capital of the Cotes du Rhone wine region. Chateauneuf du Pape is a superior Grenache Syrah that delivers all the juicy red fruits, power and complexity the region is famuos for. An excellent example of cool-climate Shiraz with dark black fruit, spice and pepper characters. The oak and tannins are well balanced ensuring that this wine is drinking well now and has plenty of life ahead.

A classic Beechworth Chardonnay, straw-gold with a green tinge: aromas of hazelnut, yellow peach, and nuances of matchstick mingled with spicy-oak notes of ginger and orange zest; the attack is full of rich, peach and nectarine fruit flavours.

Domaine Asmara Infinity Shiraz is Domaine Asmaras flagship wine, it is only release in exceptional vintages with limited quantities. It is a bold, full bodied red wine, packed with ripe dark fruits flavours with chalky tannins and a lengthy finish. It would be a great candidate to cellar with the right conditions.

FIGHTING GULLY ROAD La Longa Sangiovese, Beechworth

This wine is a medium with a balance of good rounded acidity. It is fruit driven wine with tastes of blackberry, dark cherry and plum and displays floral notes and aromas including iris and violet. It also is showing some hints of earthy and savoury characters and is an excellent food wine.
