Shikkoku is a Japanese word that reflects the jet black colour of onyx, perfect for this enchantingly dark, slow-aged brew marked by an elegant and mellow flavour profile. Dark shadows contrast sharply with the brightness of its fine, tea-coloured head. Aromatic hops surround the nose. COEDO Shikkoku is created with two variations of black malt which are combined with six other malt varieties, making for a black lager that is smooth, light and balanced - never cloying.

Crafted to deliver a distinct flavour hit like no other. Made using only the freshest ginger it delivers a punchy ginger bite. It has a clean, smooth taste and as the liquid passes through the palate the ginger will fill the whole mouth, leaving a warmth at the back of the throat. Should be inverted before opening to allow the sediment to go back into solution. Enjoy straight or pour over ice with a twist of lemon.

In the nose, hints of mocha and caramel and a yeasty herbalness (cloves, pepper) are rounded off with a slightly sour taste. Our NEIPA is hazy and malty with a restrained bitterness and sweet flavours of mango, pineapple and oranges. At 6.6% this is our crowd pleaser. Packed with Mosaic, Amarillo and Citra hops to give it a juicy tropical finish.
