Wolfberger Yellow Label Reserve Gewurztraminer

Over a century ago, in 1902, winegrowers in the village of Eguisheim decided to join forces to create one of the worlds first cooperatives in Alsace. United as one, pioneers in their field, they are continually innovating in order to preserve the quality of their wines. Today, Wolfberger is a major player in the Alsace wine landscape, in France and around the world. This golden pale Gewurztraminer shows a very expressive note with subtle notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, cardamon) and exotic fruits (mango, papaya and guava). Rich and powerful on the palate, this wine presents a great complexity: supple and ample and finishes on persistent aromatic flavours of spice and mango. Perfect match to Asian cuisine, sweet and sour dishes, strong cheeses, tarts and fruit based desserts.

Wolfberger Alsace Black Pinot Gris

Wolfberger is our favourite producer in Alsace and this black label Pinot Gris Sec shows why. Beautifully restrained, it contains less residual sugar than most Alsatian Gris which allows the purity of fruit to shine through. The fresh pear and honeyed citrus notes are accompanied by a perfumed bouquet. A delightful match for seafood or perfect to have a glass on its own.

La Promesse Loire Sauvignon Blanc

The first whiff of this restrained Sauvignon Blanc indicates a departure from the hugely aromatic styles of Marlborough. It has a delicate floral nose with an inkling of Indian spice while the fruit is more stone-fruit than tropical. The palate is elegant, texturally soft with a mouthfeel of freshness and breadth. The cool climate of the Loire produces wines with distinctive freshness, a lean acidity and a spicy or steely spine.

Domaine Des Grosses Pierres Sancerre

From the spiritual home of Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre, in France's Loire Valley comes this brilliantly expressive aromatic white from Domaine Des Grosses Pierres. Great floral notes on the nose with a nicely balanced palate of minerals, quartz and lingering ripe citrus fruits. This subtle Sauv Blanc is perfect for light meals and delicate Asian cuisine.

Mount Mary Triolet Semillon Sauvignon Blanc Muscadelle

A classic and refined style with some citrus characters framed by bakery and subtle vanilla spice, the iconic Triolet is a classic Bordeaux Blanc blend, incorporating the three varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle. It was first produced by Mount Mary in 1987. The varieties are fermented separately in barrel with complexity and palate weight gained from extended lees contact and fermentation on solids.

Mount Mary Triolet

The Triolet blend, first produced at this vineyard in 1987, was inspired by the white wines of Graves, Bordeaux. Each variety is picked at optimum ripeness, and is usually fermented separately. The characteristics of optimum ripeness are different for each variety. We pick the Sauvignon blanc after the strong herbaceous flavours have disappeared, the Semillon when the acid is not too harsh, and the Muscadelle when the flavour intensity peaks.

Peter Lehmann Margaret Semillon

A multiple award winner, this gorgeous Barossa Semillon from Peter Lehmann is showing complex aromas of nuts, lanolin, beeswax and honeyed overtones. The palate is fresh with wonderful breadth and lemony/honeyed aged characters. Serving it up to those in the Hunter Valley quite nicely!

Pierre Brevin Loire Sauvignon Blanc

Pierre Brevin Loire Sauvignon Blanc reveals expressive floral, vegetable, woody notes which develop into flavours of exotic fruits. Fresh, round, well balanced with a final expression of notes of exotic fruits. Great match with seafood.

Audrey Wilkinson The Ridge Semillon
