Château Tanunda Chorus GSM has lifted aromas of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry area accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits and white pepper on the palate. The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from two years' maturation in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels. Although drinking well now the wine will benefit from medium-term cellaring.

The Langmeil Resurrection Mataro has aromas of bright, blue and jammy fruits, with hints of white pepper and savoury notes. Juicy blue fruits flow over the tongue with white pepper and brambley spice giving great complexity. A medium bodied wine with fine tannin and a lovely, spicy finish.

Sourced from vines planted in the rich red soils of the Lienert Vineyards, where the fruit ripens lazily under the big blue skies of the Barossas western ridge. The result is a wonderfully flavoursome blend of Barossas three hero red varieties Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. The Grenache brings vitality and juicy red fruits. Shiraz provides richness and dark fruits, with Mataro playing a key role delivering structure and a good dose of spice.

Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's.
