Miles From Nowhere Best Blocks Shiraz

The grapes for this spectacular Best Blocks Shiraz were sourced from the Miamup Road vineyard. The fruit was harvested, crushed, and transferred to stainless steel vessels for fermentation. Post maturation in a combination of American and French barriques for 18 months, the resulting wine features a deep purple red colour. A swirl of the glass presents scintillating aromas of freshly cracked pepper, mixed berries, cocoa bean, spice and vanilla. Fine grained tannins integrate with the soft palate containing ripe red fruits and spices. The finish is elegant and lengthy. This delightful Shiraz can be enjoyed now, or within a cellaring term of eight years. It tastes excellent with char grilled porterhouse steak alongside mustard butter sauce and seasonal vegetables.

Trove Estate The Laurels Shiraz

A deep, full-bodied red from Western Australia's Margaret River region. Howard Park Leston Margaret River Shiraz

An impressive Margaret River release from Howard Park, a distinguished WA estate owned by the Burch family, a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wines. The Feng Shui cellar door is a ‘must-see’ according to Halliday. With their Margaret River Shiraz they aim – successfully – to combine the ripeness and opulence of warmer climates with the spice and elegance typical of cooler ones. A mouthfilling mix of black and red fruits; boysenberry, cherry, plum, attractive leafy notes, hints of tobacco, spice and black olive. “Fruit from a blend of vineyards in and around Wilyabrup. Matured for 18 months in French oak (25% new). Dark and resinous on the nose here, the palate shows really brilliant concentration of flavour. The tannins have a cooling, minerally flow that shape the palate, making for really quite elegant drinking. There's a lot to like here... 93pts” (Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion).
