The Portrait wines embody the original promise Peter Lehmann made to the growers to make wines that show the true character of the Barossa. Collectively, these wines present a portrait of the region with a selection of the traditional varietals that made it famous. A vivacious wine, with balance and structure, made from dry grown low-yielding bush Grenache and a touch of Shiraz. The colour is a delicate salmon pink with an aroma of early picked raspberries and strawberries. Red-brown loam over shale and red clay vineyards in the South and Central Barossa Valley enable St Hallett to create wine parcels of generosity of flavour, length and texture like Faith shiraz.Dark berry fruits and a soft and luscious palate are the hallmark characters of this wine.
