Yalumba SC Barossa Shiraz Cabernet

Rosenvale Vineyards Vine Vale Road Shiraz

This is serious shiraz, mofo. Coming from one of our favourite Barossa producers who were established well over 100 years ago! As for this particular wine, after the grapes are picked at perfect ripeness to give voluptuous fruit quality, which sees a couple of years in new and seasoned French oak barrels. The resulting wine is dark and deep, with blueberries, spice and a touch of white pepper on the nose. The palate is full of fine tannins and rich red cherries and plums. It’s not just a mofo fave - it’s an all round consumer fave bringing in an impressive 4.1 rating on Vivino; Certainly not something you see every day. Calling all Aussie red lovers, this one should catch your attention!

Patrick Of Coonawarra P Series Limestone Coast Shiraz

We are a small team at Patrick of Coonawarra, making award winning wine from our estate grown vineyards within the Limestone Coast of South Australia. We produce product of passion, perseverance, people & place. Tasting Note: This Shiraz builds mouthfeel and rich fruit flavour, with medium bodied tannin complexity. It is a wonderfully round, complex wine that has all the hallmarks of a classic Australian Red. Winemaker’S Note: From our nothern block in Wrattonbully. Aged in predominantly older oak to ensure the richness of fruit is preserved and minimal tannin is absorbed. Vintage Note: A warm October and November advanced budburst andflowering by about two weeks earlier than average.March then saw more stable and mild conditionswhich allowed for a slower finish to the season andensured enough time for tannins to ripen and flavourto develop.

Reschke Limestone Coast Shiraz

Situated in the heart of the Limestone Coast, Reschke benefits from optimal vineyard soils characterised by thin layers of rich red loams overlaying ancient limestone. This distinct combination provides the perfect foundation for grapevine growth, allowing Reschke to consistently craft high-quality wines that capture the essence of the region. This Shiraz has intense aromas of dark berries, black plums, and a touch of cracked black pepper. Ripe fruit flavours harmonise with notes of dark chocolate and subtle oak, creating a full-bodied and velvety mouthfeel, while well-integrated tannins contribute to the lingering finish that leaves traces of blackberry with a hint of spice.

Ivyburn Regional Series Barossa Shiraz

Talk about value for money! So much fruit, so much oak, so much intensity, all packed into one gorgeous bottle. This price turns what would normally be a special occasion wine into the ultimate weekday warrior. From the sloping foot hills of the Barossa ranges comes a big, bad, bustling, Barossa beauty. The old vines of the site create slow-ripened, small bunches of shiraz grapes rich with concentrated black and dark red fruits. A deeply layered wine with fragrant American oak, hints of black pepper spice and enduring, yet fine-grained tannins. The sheer intensity of flavour puts this wine in a really good spot to reward aging for 10+ years but, as we always say, a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Drink it whenever you want, why needlessly deprive yourself of this kind of happiness...

Winstar CABERNET SHIRAZ LIMESTONE COAST

Angove Family Winemakers 1886 Barossa Shiraz

When we heard 5th generation McLaren Vale legends, Angove, were turning their hand to Barossa shiraz, we sat up and took notice. When we actually tasted the thing, we nearly fell off our chairs. Deep, dark, dense, delicious. This is a complete steal. This wine was crafted using traditional techniques at the historic, century-old Angove winery. After gentle de-stemming, wild fermentation was embraced in open fermenters to let the site’s character shine. Twice-daily hand plunging and pump-overs built colour, structure and complexity. Once dry, the wine was basket-pressed and sent to French oak for a long, slow maturation. Blackberry compote, aniseed and crushed herbs leap from the glass, supported by overt cedar and warming spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a velvety texture that weaves dark plum, mocha and savoury oak into a seamless whole. Bright acidity and fine tannins stretch the finish long and clean. This is Barossa done beautifully. Drink now - it'll last for 10 years in the cellar but just drink it, it's so good right now.
