Colonial Brewing Co. South West Sour is a warm weather seasonal brewed in Margaret River in Western Australias South West. Mild Ale is brewed with a selection of barley and wheat malt, and with no added sugar. This traditional brewing approach provides the smooth malt character which is balanced by a triple hopping with Pride of Ringwood and Saaz hops. The brew is fermented similarly to its stablemates Pale and Sparkling Ale, with the customary secondary fermentation in the bottle.

Modus Operandi Pale Ale is dry hopped with some of the biggest hops from the Yakima Valley. This choice selection brings out a lively layer of aromatics, with hints of pine and citrus which follow onto the palate. A crisp, dry finish caps it off.

The unique Stella Artois yeast strain (the very same yeast strain first used by the Artois brewmasters) adds a light to moderate fruity, cooked pineapple aroma and creates a clean, crisp medium bodied flavour with hints of cooked vegetable. The Saaz hop also produces a unique bitterness which is well balanced with the malted barley, giving Stella Artois a subtle but pleasant grainy, sweet finish.

The use of traditional bittering hops and the finest hop extracts combine to give this beer its delightful hop character. The muted malt flavours give it perfect balance and drinkability.
