The grapesfor this wine were picked from our 40 year old vines grown in the volcanic soilof the ancient Fordwich Sill. These low yielding mature vines produce ripe, concentrated fruitwhich results in a wine with excellent regional and varietal characters.

Their Cool Climate Chardonnay shows great concentration of white peach, nectarine and white flower blossom on the nose. And tropical fruits such as pineapple, honeydew and ripe peach, intergraded with structured acidity on the palate. This wine has a great clean finish. The 20th of July 1969 is a significant day in history: not only was it the day that astronaut Neil Armstrong took one small step on the surface of the moon, but also the same day Bill Taylor travelled to, and first set foot on, what was to become their renowned family vineyard. While one stepped on the barren lunar surface, the other stepped on rich terra rossa soils with the hope and determination to craft wines to rival the world's best. Taylors One Small Step Chardonnay displays fleshy yellow peach, subtle pineapple and citrus flavours. There is a refreshing, tight acidity and a lovely clean finish.

Taylors Jaraman Chardonnay has lifted, complex aromas of subtle white peach and nectarine along with secondary aromas of cream and cashew nuts from lees stirring and oak maturation. The Clare Valley component delivers mid-palate weight and richness with fleshy stone fruit flavours of yellow nectarine and white peach, while the Adelaide Hills component delivers elegance and length with restrained citrus flavours to the mid-palate.

Innocent Bystander produces a stylish Chardonnay that shows stonefruit melon and vanillin oak on the nose. The palate has lovely creamy mouthfeel and flavours of butterscotch and citrus with minerally acidity on the finish.

Chardonnay sourced from Victorias cool climate King Valley goes into Nugan's Estate Chardonnay. Pale straw in appearance, with a youthful green hue. Aromas of peach, nectarine, poached peach and mixed spice, a rich mout filling palate of stone fruit, biscuit and yeast notes with a crisp acidity make this a good drink.

Lifted aromas of ripe peach, nectarine and cantaloupe and mixed spice with toasty notes. On the palate, complex flavours of ripe peaches and cream with lively nectarine, biscuit and yeast notes and mineral like acidity.
