George Wyndham was one of the founding fathers of the Australian wine industry after planting the first commercial vineyard in 1830. Jamiesons Run has been crafting premium, approachable wines since the early 1950s with a winemaking focus that starts in the vineyard. Their Grazier Shiraz is sweet in dark berry fruit,mulberry and plum flavours predominate, interwoven with cedar and mocha oak. Tyrrells had been a well known winery for decades. Its Old Winery Pinot Noir is medium bodied due to the warmer climate in NSW. Attractive cherry and strawberry jams, perfumed spices with restrained oak on the nose. Its smooth texture and chalky tannins certainly leaves a great impression on the palate.
