Balanced and elegant tannins, nicely integrated oak, gives the wine balance and structure. Ø WINEMAKING Each parcel of fruit is gently crushed and transferred into small open fermenters. Heading down boards keep the cap submerged for better skin contact. The fermenters are temperature controlled to provide optimum conditions. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over. Wine is then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for maturation. A traditional red grape variety from Bordeaux in France, Malbec is increasingly being grown in Australia. The grape is renowned for its deep colour, generous fruit expression and full flavour. Margaret River wine region offers great growing conditions for the variety. Malbec wines from this region show great depth and beautifully reflect the character of the grape. This is not surprising considering Margaret River and Bordeaux experience similar climatic conditions.

Made for use as a communion wine, it is suitably soft, sweet and approachable.
