Pale gold colour with aromas of ripe white peach, nectarine, and hints of lightly toasted almond. On the palate it is elegant and balanced, with creamy stone-fruit flavours complemented by bright citrus acidity and a clean, lingering finish.

Brightly fruited and immediately appealing, the inviting bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, capsicum, and lemon zest aromas. The palate displays excellent fruit purity and intensity, well supported by crisp acidity, finishing long and flavoursome.

Sitting high in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood hand craft single vineyard wines of the utmost complexity. Their Chardonnay is made up of four French Chardonnay clones from the Ashwood vineyard and shows a crisp front palate with lifted layers of aromatic fruit. Punt Road Napoleone Chardonnay is a lovely cool climate Chardonnay sourced from the Yarra Valley, this wine shows citrus and stonefruit aromas with a creamy barrel ferment texture. Layers of peach and citrus flavours and a crisp acid finish. Incredible quality at this price.

From the ever impressive Yering Station, this Chardonnay offers toasty barrel ferment characters, good supporting oak and ripe peach aromas leading to a textured and well rounded palate. One of the better value examples out there.

This Paul Mas Chardonnay has plenty going for it! Nectarine, melon and minerally aromas are followed by a long, textured palate with stonefruit flavours and fresh acidity. Great value.

Penfolds Maxs Chardonnay is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, a legend in Penfolds history. Pale straw in colour with green hues, this wine has a very nice textural and creamy palate with a soft line of acid fading ever so slowly to a distant palate horizon.

Olivier Leflaive was co-manager of Domaine Leflaive until 1994 before withdrawing to concentrate on his own venture which he started in 1985. Today the domaine produces wine from some 65 appellations with 85% of the production being white wine. One of Burgundys most respected producers the estate produces a number of domaine wines from its own vineyards alongside its range of negocé bottlings. This Chardonnay is a wine with a fine aromatic intensity of almond, hazelnut, apple and a nice balance between smoothness and freshness on the palate.
