Drumborg Vineyard has become one of Australia's premier vineyards for producing Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Always in very limited supply, the Drumborg Riesling is a delicate white with pronounced floral notes and notes of citrus zest on the nose. The palate follows through with delicate lime flavours and a trademark zippy mineral acid backbone. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant early in its life, the Drumborg Riesling is also famous for ageing exceptionally well and will further develop in the bottle for a further decade or more.

The original White Port made in the Mudgee region, it is a smooth and luscious port with great overtones of nectar. You can serve this unique wine slightly chilled as an aperitif or after dinner.

This outstanding Riesling has subdued lavender, fresh herb aromas, lemon blossom while the palate is soft round and smoothed out by a touch of sweetness that is deep and lingering. Before being grasped by a clenched fist of acidity.. The finish is taunt, ultra-crisp with a whisper of sweetness before the zesty dry grip takes over.

This semi-dry Riesling from Schloss Vollrads is a prime example for the variety. Shaw + Smith own two vineyards, in Lenswood and Balhannah. Balhannah is also home to the winery where the Tasting Room is open daily. Shaw + Smiths first vintage was in 1990, and the early vintages were made at Wirra Wirra and Petaluma. In 1999 they purchased a property at Balhannah, where they planted vines, and built the winery and tasting room in time for the 2000 vintage. In 2012 they purchased an established 20 hectare vineyard in Lenswood. As the business has grown Michael and Martin have built a formidable team to continue the evolution of Shaw + Smith, including Master of Wine David LeMire, Senior Winemaker Adam Wadewitz, Business Manager Grant Lovelock and Group Viticulturist Murray Leake.
