Once in Europe, the House cellar master decides on less high esters for the Trinidadian rum and blends in old rums from Jamaica (15 - 20 yrs.) This end result adapts beautifully to classic dark rum cocktails.

Black Barrel is a unique small-batch, hand-crafted rum created to commemorate the 310th year anniversary of Mount Gay. Like all their rums, double-pot and single column distillates are aged separately in whiskey barrels until they reach maturity. The Master Blender then mixes a higher proportion of double distillates to create this special blend. Aged again in deeply charred bourbon barrels (hence the name), adding a rich complexity and a warm, smooth finish.

Appleton Signature is a flagship product of the Estate's Jamaica Rum Family. It is a Blended Rum, which means it is a combination of several rums of different styles and ages and does not have an age statement.
