We produce product of passion, perseverance, people & place. Tasting Note: This Shiraz builds mouthfeel and rich fruit flavour, with medium bodied tannin complexity. It is a wonderfully round, complex wine that has all the hallmarks of a classic Australian Red. Winemaker’S Note: From our nothern block in Wrattonbully. Aged in predominantly older oak to ensure the richness of fruit is preserved and minimal tannin is absorbed. Vintage Note: A warm October and November advanced budburst andflowering by about two weeks earlier than average.March then saw more stable and mild conditionswhich allowed for a slower finish to the season andensured enough time for tannins to ripen and flavourto develop.

HEAD Old Vine Shiraz, Barossa Valley The hand-picked fruit comes in small parcels from up to 100-years-old vines. Theres a little whole-bunch fermentation prior to 12 months in a mix of old and new barrels. There is a measure of Old Vine Grenache to lighten up the classic Barrosa Valley Shiraz richness.

The single-vineyard Magill Estate Shiraz is intrinsically linked to Penfolds beginnings. Sourced from the original Magill vineyard on the edge of Adelaide s eastern suburbs. A beautiful bouquet of chocolate mousse, custard and blackberry give complexity to the savory notes of corned beef and olive. This 2013 vintage is medium to full-bodied palate, flavours akin to white sultana cake, dates and a touch of freshly tanned suede. A hint of French oak on the finish.

Gibson Australian Old Vine Collection Shiraz, Barossa Made with vines from the Barossa Old Vine Charter, winemaker Rob Gibsons Australian Old Vine Collection project has produced wines of integrity and excellence. Aiming to vinify grapes from original Centenarian and Ancestor vines, the wine is low in production but high in quality and accolades. The Old Vine Barossa Shiraz was an inaugural recipient of the Barossa Trust Mark.

Bright, deep garnet. Spice laced, smoky, savory notes dominate when the bottle is first opened. With air aromas transit through black tea, charred meat, green pepper corn, wood smoke and suede, to roasted nuts, red and black cherry and high transient notes of citrus oils and jasmine. Restrained and relatively closed on the palate initially. Mid-weight, with a keen balance of both flesh and bones fruit and structure - tangy dried herb edged fruit opens up to polished, fresh black fruits. Focused and pure, has great line.

Ripe blackberry and cedar-boxy goodness on the nose. The palate follows with ribena jubey-ness with hints of spicy clove framed by soft grapithe like tannins. Fragrant, blackcurrant and supple. Perfect with rich & hearty dishes, as it tends to brighten them. You can never fail with the classic pairing of good old grilled steak, chips and cabernet. Taken from the pristine terra rossa over limestone soils in Wrattonbully, this Cabernet Malbec blend shows the trademark bright fruit and deep flavours associated with the region. The cool air flow and long sunshine hours in this area provides extended ripening and hence complexity. It's bright and fresh aromas are matched by a rich interior which shows wonderful fruit expression. Unlike the average son, Favourite Son will repay over the years showing great potential for cellaring.
