Very dark colour, complex nose of blackberry/mulberry and plums with a touch of oak spice, palate is rich and full flavoured with blackberry/dark plum fruit softly textured and layered structure with integrated vanillin oak and fine tannins on the finish. An iron fist in a velvet glove style which is well suited to quality grilled beef such as rib eye.

Situated in the heart of the Limestone Coast, Reschke benefits from optimal vineyard soils characterised by thin layers of rich red loams overlaying ancient limestone. This distinct combination provides the perfect foundation for grapevine growth, allowing Reschke to consistently craft high-quality wines that capture the essence of the region. This Shiraz has intense aromas of dark berries, black plums, and a touch of cracked black pepper. Bright, deep garnet. Spice laced, smoky, savory notes dominate when the bottle is first opened. With air aromas transit through black tea, charred meat, green pepper corn, wood smoke and suede, to roasted nuts, red and black cherry and high transient notes of citrus oils and jasmine. Restrained and relatively closed on the palate initially. Mid-weight, with a keen balance of both flesh and bones fruit and structure - tangy dried herb edged fruit opens up to polished, fresh black fruits. Focused and pure, has great line.
