We are absolutely thrilled to bring to you the Chandon Vintage Brut Rosé, exclusive to Vintage Cellars! A beautiful blend, the pinot component adds lovely strawberry flavours to the creamy nutty characters of the chardonnay which are the hallmark of the house of Chandon. Rich salmon pink in colour, the nose delivers enticing aromas of freshly baked pastry and nougat along with spice notes and hints of cherry and ripe strawberry. The palate is dense and multi-layered with mouth-filling red berry flavours complemented by toasty characters. A beautifully structured mid-palate is supported by savoury spice and fine creamy notes. The inclusion of red pinot noir base wine in the blend provides great complexity, persistence and a sublime long, dry finish.

Refined and elegant, the cuvée Brut Rosé is perfect addition to your evening aperitif or soirée. .Nose: Intense aromas of fresh fruits, predominantly strawberry and raspberry. Eye: Slightly rosy hue, beautiful pearl finish, with fine bubbles. Palate: Notes of red fruit and subtle spicy aromas.

The savoury characteristics from a cool and exceptionally low cropping vintage are sensational when married with the classic Gibbston silky, fine tannins and electric acidity. VALLI is the personal vocation of pioneering winemaker Grant Taylor. Grants name is synonymous with Otago Pinot Noir. He has been crafting wines there since 1993 when there were only 20 ha planted today there are over 2000. Grant founded VALLI in 1998 with the intention to produce single vineyard Pinot Noirs highlighting the different characteristics of Otagos sub regions. More than 20 years later, VALLI is doing just that, producing single-vineyard pinot noirs from Gibbston, Bannockburn, and Bendigo in Central Otago and the Waitaki Valley in North Otago, as well as a dry Pinot Gris from Gibbston and a Riesling from Waitaki. In 2015, established Otago winemaker Jen Parr joined Grant in the winery where the two aim to create wines with honesty, integrity, and most of all, a sense of place. Known for its extensive lees ageing, Champagne Castelnau has a long established reputation for its top quality range. This is the " signature dish" of the House of Castelnau with its stand-out characteristic of long maturation. The strength of the toasty notes from the Chardonnay recedes gradually to allow the sensation of spicy overtones of thyme and bay leaf to emerge. There are hints of white tobacco and dried flowers as well. Thanks to the presence of the reserve wines in the blend you begin to find warm praline flavours and toasted, grilled notes, gingerbread, almond, hazelnut balanced by fruit notes of peach and ripe apricots. The freshness on the palate comes from the Chardonnay in the blend and this also brings elegance to the finished wine.

Known for its extensive lees ageing, Champagne Castelnau has a long established reputation for its top quality range. Exceptionally, this Champagne has had more than 10 years of ageing on its lees, giving it remarkable complexity and depth. This vintage offers an aromatic harmony of grilled, toasty notes and the well-rounded body is thanks to the Chardonnay in the blend that has been grown in the Grande Montagne de Reims. Citrus fruit, such as grapefruit, caress the taste buds and impart a distinguished freshness. The spicy notes on the finish are a signature style of Champagne Castelnau.

Situated 45 degrees south and influenced by the striking mountains, rivers and lakes, Central Otago experiences all four seasons. This seasonal variability combined with low fertility free draining soils, provides the ideal “tension” required to grow outstanding Pinot Noir. For Mumm Central Otago Blanc De Noirs, 100% Pinot Noir grapes were hand harvested entirely from grower owned vineyards, located in differing sub-regions of Central Otago (45% Tarras, 27% Alexandra, and 22% Gibbston Valley). Grapes were whole bunch pressed extracting juice in the gentlest manner, preserving the fruit’s natural elegance. Parcels were fermented separately using natural wild fermentation or traditional Champagne yeast, in either seasoned French Oak cuves or stainless steel and left on ferment lees whilst undergoing full malolactic fermentation. The extended lees contact contributes to the aromatic complexity and the malolactic fermentation softens the acidity to add richness to the palate. Assemblage of the final blend consists of carefully selected components of Pinot Noir which show strength and intensity. A carefully selected amount of aged reserve wines were blended to add extra complexity, before secondary fermentation. The result is a cuvée that showcases the purity of aroma and flavour balanced by vibrant natural acidity, giving the wine brightness and elegance. • Gift Box pictured may not be available for all online orders.
