Grant Burge is the 5th Generation of his family to be involved in winemaking in the Barossa Valley. The Wittmanns and their ancestors have been wine-growers in southern Rheinhessen since 1663. Since 1990, the family has cultivated the vineyards according to controlled ecological guidelines, and since 2004, bio-dynamically. This Riesling has a fine aroma of yellow fruits and apple, clear, elegant structure and juicy freshness. Dry with a juicy acidity which harmonises with the typical earthy mineral tones; great finish.

Well known for his Barossa Valley Red wines, Kym Teusner is equally at home producing lifted aromatic white wines from hand selected vineyards high in the Eden Valley. His The Empress Riesling comes from a block near Keyneton (about 400m above sea level) and from the Southern Eden Valley adjacent to the High Eden. Both parcels are handled differently with the Keyneton handled oxidatively to had textural notes and shape and the Southern fruit kept clean to offer racing acidity and vibrant citrus notes. A perfect balance.

Wolf Blass has a long and illustrious history in the Australian wine industry. This lovely Riesling has a little sweetness to offset its naturally racy, citrus acidity, making it a perfect partner for spicy Asian cuisine.

Famous for their popular and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc, Giesen produce an enticing and pure Riesling from the same region, Marlborough. Displaying notes of citrus, white flowers and ginger on the nose, this attractive off-dry Riesling shows subtle sweet flavours of lemon curd, mandarin and orange peel. Those flavours are then balanced beautifully with a structured acid backbone and minerality that keeps the succulent flavours dancing on the palate for an age.

The Shiraz grapes for The Struie come from old vines in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. The Eden component brings floral spicy aromas that are supported by more brooding notes of tar and chocolate from the Barossa. The palate is luscious and silky, and this is a Fine Wine favourite.
