Hollick Tannery Block Cabernet Merlot

This wine is classic Coonawarra in style with ripe berry and cassis aromas and flavours layered over fine tannins. Cabernet is the major component and backbone with Merlot adding softness and drinkability.

Riddoch Elgins Crsng Cabernet Sauv

Elgin's crossing commemorates pioneering vigneron John Riddoch's outward voyage to Australia aboard the sailing ship lady Elgin in 1851. Riddoch went on to become an influential figure in South Australia, establishing the Coonawarra fruit colony in 1890.

Elena’s Wines One & Only Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet’s dark and brooding deeply delved impenetrable black purple.Classic cabernet again: blackberries and cassis, a distant waft of tomato foliage and of green tobacco leaf; duxelle mushrooms and a sawdusted butcher’s shop floor. A seamless olfactory journey from primary fruit aromatics to secondary and subtle oak underlay. The complete package. Ripe blackberry fruits held in assured check by a neat acid tension. The berry flavours still sweep through the palate, but as quickly as they do the innate tannins of cabernet dry every aspect of your mouth out, and that returning acidity makes everything then taste as fresh and new as the first day of Spring. Definitive cabernet sauvignon flavours and structure, but all too approachable. And that approachability makes this red wine too moreish. The tannins want foods with fat and or a pleasant oiliness. Lamb chops cooked over charcoal. A slowly roasted shoulder of lamb. Kebab and falafel. We would. Oh, and this bottle requires four like or even dis like minded people with four appetites and four correct attitudes towards luncheon.

Hidden Ridge Premium Selection Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

The Coonawarra region is a flat terrain, located on the Limestone coast in South Australia. Beneath this beautiful landscape lies a limestone ridge and contrasting soils which provide the perfect conditions for crafting great wine. On the nose, lifted raspberry, spice with subtle oak that leads to a generous mouth full of dark berry flavours. Long gentle, puckery tannins provides a long finish. Enjoy now or reward from cellaring over the next 3 to 5 years.

Grant Burge Coonawarra Ink Cabernet Sauvignon

A sweet-fruited mouthcoating wine. Can be served slightly chilled.

Mrs Q Series Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

For over 20 years, John Quarisa has worked as a winemaker for some of the most recognisable wineries in Australia. During his time at Casella, he was instrumental in securing them the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy in 2004. John has since branched out to create a range of wines that bear his family name. This particular range, named after his wife Josephine Quarisa, features this outstanding Coonawarra Cabernet, which over a couple of vintages has picked up several Golds. This one has two, something Mrs Q must be stoked about.

Katnook Squires Cabernet Sauvignon

Katnook lies in the heart of South Australia's iconic Coonawarra region and is home to some of the country's finest terra rossa vineyards. This wine features a well-structured palate, with rich berry fruit, light oak flavours and a smooth finish.

RedHeads Catbird Seat Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a cracking new release from RedHeads, a leading eco-friendly boutique winery in Oz. The winery was started in 2002 in the McLaren Vale - a cellar where young winemakers could come in their spare time and make just the sort of small scale wine they dreamed of. Since then, the winery has put down real roots in the Barossa, very nearly 100% off-grid, thanks to its solar panels, and nearly self sufficient on recycled water. There, surrounded by all of the Aussie big players, they rescue small parcels of terrific grapes and make showstopping wines. Catbird Seat is a standout – all the grapes from Jack Burston's cracking Coonawarra vineyard. RedHeads bagged them and has done him proud. Aged a year in French oak, it's a big, bold red.

Long Live The King Riverina Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Indulge in some Coonawarra perfection: “The Australian wine industry worked out relatively early on that it had the perfect spot for Cabernet Sauvignon and that spot was Coonawarra” (Jancis Robinson). The Italian families of the Riverina have been producing royally good wines for years and now the secret is out! In critic James Halliday’s words... Calabria Family Wines “consistently delivers exceptional value for money across the entire range” . Did you know? Bill Calabria, the leading light behind this wine, received a Queen’s Birthday Honour for his services to charity and the wine industry as a whole. Lovely intensity of rich fruit with layers of blackcurrant and herb flavours and spicy toasty oak notes. The tannins are firm, the finish smooth, long and powerful.

Allegiance Wines 'The Foreman' Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

You’ll enjoy a dense, deep red of memorable power, laden with dark cassis, cedar, herbs and spice on a richly textured finish. One taste will show you why it’s picked up Gold!
