The Bourgogne Chardonnay is a step up from our delightful Cave de Lugny Macon Villages - it is a perfectly balanced wine, with only a portion aged in oak to give structure and aromatic complexity. The nose has subtle citrus, honey and hazelnut notes. The palate delivers a rich stonefruit complexity with an elegant, fresh finish. A pale straw colour with vivid green hues. Gunflint, almond and lemon zest characterise the aroma. The wine has a steely edged structure and the mid-palate is filled with white peach and oyster-shell flavours. It draws into a long, spicy finish.
