The wine has a light straw colour with hints of green, typical of young crispy riesling. Complex aromas with notes of preserved lime, dried rose petals, and pear. There is also a hint of Cox's orange crunch. The palate is clean and refreshing, with a vibrant acidity and a citrus fruit. The wine has a long finish, with flavors that linger on the palate.

Brokenwood Pinot Gris is sourced from a wonderful vineyard site in Beechworth that allows this rich and textural Pinot Gris to show its true colours. Aromas and flavours of peach, melon, honeysuckle and candied pear are all present in a delicious true Gris style.

The aromatics are alive with poached pear, guava, peach and spice. The palate is expressive with a textural mouth feel and great length of flavour. A classic natural acid line retains balance and structure, finishing with a light spice.

Destemmed and fermented on skins like all our Pinot Noir wines. It was on skins for 5 weeks before being pressed to old puncheons before being bottled unfined and unfiltered without any additions. There’s some blood orange and musk sticks on the nose. The musk follows on the palate and there is some juicy strawberry flavours too. It finishes with a waft of tannin to refresh your palate. This is a very fine Gris. Its elegant nose shows hints of citrus, grapefruit, musk and apricot while on the palate the wine is structured and remarkably tight with mineral characteristics supporting rich, tropical fruit. The acid is very fresh and the length impeccable.
