The bouquet has blackberry, violets, juniper, plum and toasted cedary oak. The palate is rich and powerful with superbly balanced oak tannins integrating with intense dark red fruits and briary cassis delivering a lingering mouthfeel.

Maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak, has given complexity to this wines richly concentrated berry profile, while time has allowed for seamless integration. Vibrant acidity and velvety tannins carry out to an enduring finish, making for a wine that will reward both the future and the present.

While certainly lighter, more elegant, and a different style to that of some of previous years, the 2011 vintage is one of the greatest Grenache vintages Yangarra has ever produced. The white pepper spice is telling of such a cool year, and is married with bright cherries and raspberry alongside complex hints of liquorice, chicory and cured meats. The tannins are fine and delicate, and the acidity alike.

Chapel Hill's Cabernet Sauvignon is a superb McLaren Vale wine which rivals others well beyond its price range. Generous blackcurrant, dark cherries, cedar and spice mixed in with fine, firm tannins. This wine can be enjoyed now but will continue to improve with a few years in the cellar.

A wonderful expression of Cabernet Sauvignon's style, structure and depth of flavour. Blackcurrant and Rosemary flavours are further complexed by poised and mouth filling fine grained tannin.

Red Knot Classified Cabernet Sauvignon showcases lifted aromas of black currant and blueberries with hints of oak. The palate unfolds with rich dark berry flavour and chocolate with a silky finish. An extraordinary expression of McLaren Vale and Red Knot's expert winemaking.

Intense, textured and showing pure fruit flavours, Jester Shiraz is considered Mitolo's baby G.A.M Shiraz using the same barrels in which the G.A.M was previously aged in. The palate is full of bright, red berry flavours, a subtle herbal character and an overall savoury quality to the finish. Made to be upfront and approachable for early appreciation, the Jester Shiraz delivers excellent quality for the price.

Restrained and supple, lots of ripe dark plum, pepper and spice of Shiraz with the rose petal perfume lift and red cherry taste of Grenache. Lovely lightness and brightness to the back palate with a faint dried herbal and savoury edge, making it terrific immediate drinking but will cellar nicely for 5-10 years.

Chapel Hill makes great value wines in the maritime climate of McLaren Vale. This Shiraz is a beauty. Dark berries and vanillin oak are evident in the bouquet with spice coming through on the palate.
